Bluemetrix is committed to safeguarding the privacy of its customers and the visitors to their web sites, and to maintaining their trust and confidence. This document sets out how we collect and use information, and all of the actions we take to protect the privacy and the security of the data we collect, our customers, and vistors.

Information is Secure
All the statistical information we compile for your web site and personal information that we collect about your website is considered confidential. To protect this information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, we have implemented industry standard security measures including firewalls and security analyzers using SSL encryption to protect the transmission of data. User names and password authentication controls access to the protected data.
Information is Confidential
Bluemetrix will not access, modify, or otherwise divulge the statistical information we compile for your site except for the express purpose of generating and publishing reports and statistical data which have been authorized by you or otherwise agreed to by you, or unless acting under a good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process;
- protect and defend the rights or property of Bluemetrix;
- enforce our agreements with customers and visitors; or
- troubleshoot any service problems.
Cookies
BlueMetrix uses cookies to gather website statistics. Cookies are small pieces of information that a web site transfers to your computer's hard disk for record-keeping purposes. Cookies can make a web site more useful by allowing the site to personalize information for visitors and by storing information about customer preferences on a particular site. Bluemetrix may require those who signed up for the service, registered for a trial version or requested additional information, to give us contact information (such as their name and e-mail address). This personal and financial information allows Bluemetrix to process and fulfill your request, register your account, check your qualifications for registration and to bill you for products and services.
Bluemetrix does not store such information linked to a permanent cookie.
By your acceptance of the General Privacy Policy you shall be deemed to consent to our use of personally identifiable information to:
- Contact you when necessary for additional information necessary to process or fulfill your order; determine if you are satisfied with our service; inform you that an upgrade is available; inform you of the status of your volume plan.

Privacy Statement for Visitors to Sites Measured by Bluemetrix
Collection of Non-Personally Identifiable Information
Bluemetrix collects anonymous visitor information like IP addresses, browser types (such as Internet Explorer or Netscape), referring pages, pages visited and time spent on the web site. Bluemetrix collects this non-personally identifiable information for the following purposes:
- To provide anonymous statistical analysis of web page traffic patterns to our customers for their web services
- To administer our web site and servers
- To allow for auditing of our services by third parties
- To improve our web services
No Collection of Personal Information
Bluemetrix does not collect any personal information such as names, ages, phone numbers, addresses or e-mail addresses from visitors to our customer's web sites, unless they volunteer to share such information by taking part in occasional offered visitor surveys.
BlueMetrix Surveys
Bluemetrix may from time to time and with the permission of the customer, conduct a survey of internet usage of customers websites.. For this purpose visitors may be requested you to complete the attached surveys. On completion of the survey, participants may will be entered into monthly prize draws. In order to contact the prize-winners, we ask for e-mail addresses. At the end of the three months, such e-mail details will be purged from our system.
All personal information gathered in the surveys will be treated as strictly confidential, and will be processed in accordance with the Irish Data Protection Acts, 1988 and 2003. The main European Union directive dealing with data protection is the EU Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC. The 2003 Amendment Act brought our law into line with this directive.
The statistical information gathered by Bluemetrix from participants, is compiled in a database which enables a profile to be prepared in relation to the participants. The profile information can then be provided from the database to clients of Bluemetrix for the purposes of ensuring that their marketing and other sales efforts are directed to a particular group of persons possessing the same characteristics as those appearing in the profile.
Anonymous use of Cookies
It is Bluemetrix’s policy to use cookies only for more accurate anonymous traffic analysis such as tracking the time/date of the visit, the page viewed, the referrer, transaction information for eCommerce pages. The cookie information does not include personal data such as name, age, phone number, e-mail address or mailing address. In addition, Bluemetrix does not link cookies to personal data such as name, age, phone number, e-mail address or mailing address. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. If you would prefer, you can set your browser to reject cookies. If a visitor to your web site rejects cookies, SiteMetrix captures only a subset of the information necessary to generate all traffic reports.
Bluemetrix’s customers use customized JavaScript tracking code provided by Bluemetrix to track anonymous information about their web site visitors' activity. This code contacts Bluemetrix’s servers, receives a response, and loads an image to the page. This 1x1 image is called a clear gif or web beacon. This JavaScript tracking code does not collect personal information such as name, age, phone number, mailing address or credit card numbers from visitors to our customers' web sites; they are a technique that we use to compile aggregated statistics about a visitors use of a web site. Visitors may elect to opt out of receiving tracking cookies for all sites using Bluemetrix’s services.
Amendments to this privacy policy
Bluemetrix reserves the right to amend the content of its privacy policy. If Bluemetrix changes the policy, such changes will be notified on our website and the chang of use will only be effective after the notification.
